Key details
- Develop and demonstrate next-generation hollow-core photonic crystal fibers (HCPCF) for high-speed data transmission and sensing applications
- Demonstrate 400 Gbit/s transmission over several kilometers through fiber samples from new architectures
- Study the potential of HCPCF for sensing applications
- Combine numerical modeling, characterization, and experimental validation in the C-band
- Evaluate and optimize transmission performance of HCPCF designed and characterized at GPPMM using modeling and signal processing methods developed at GTO
- Work within an iterative process between fiber fabrication and system-level characterization
