Job description

Operate, maintain, and further develop backup platforms with Veeam and cloud solutions such as AvePoint and Veeam DataCloud
Ensure recoverability through regular restore and DR tests
Own monitoring and alerting with PRTG (sensors, thresholds, dashboards)
Analyze and sustainably resolve incidents in the backup and monitoring environment
Automate and optimize processes with PowerShell and APIs
Create and maintain documentation, standards, and runbooks
Implement security and compliance requirements (e.g., immutable backups, offsite strategies)
Collaborate closely with internal teams, clients, and external partners

Solid experience with Veeam Backup & Replication
Knowledge of cloud, tape, and immutable storage solutions (e.g., S3, Wasabi, Azure)
Very good knowledge of PRTG Network Monitor
Confident use of PowerShell for automation and interfaces
Solid know-how in Windows Server and VMware vSphere or Hyper-V
Understanding of data center fundamentals and a structured, reliable working style
Plus points for Linux knowledge, additional monitoring tools, ITIL experience, or certifications (e.g., Veeam VMCE, PRTG, VMware VCP)
