Job description
Key details
- Build and operate high-traffic production Go services handling 100M+ requests per day
- Profile and optimize Go applications to fix performance bottlenecks
- Design and operate microservice architectures using event buses like Kafka and SQS/SNS for reliable asynchronous communication
- Collect and aggregate billions of daily API events into Kafka and Kinesis streams, queryable from the data lake in seconds
- Work with columnar databases like Druid and relational databases like MySQL, optimizing queries for few-millisecond response times
- Support partners by providing raw or aggregated data through well-documented open APIs, backed by TypeScript React dashboards
- Own services end-to-end in a Kubernetes-based environment

Requirements & details
- Go is your primary language at scale
- 5+ years in software development with 3+ years building production Go services
- Experience with high-traffic systems handling 100M+ requests per day
- Ability to profile and optimize Go applications
- Distributed systems experience as a default
- Experience designing and operating microservice architectures using event buses like Kafka and SQS/SNS
- Experience with columnar databases like Druid and relational databases like MySQL
- Understanding of how data should be stored and queried at scale
- Experience building well-documented open APIs
- Experience with TypeScript React dashboards on the frontend
- Infrastructure fluency with Terraform, Docker, or serverless infrastructure is a plus
- Kubernetes-based environment experience is a plus
- Columnar database experience is a strong plus
