Job description

Lead, support, and develop a team of Quality Engineers through regular feedback, performance reviews, and individual career development
Define test strategy and quality standards together with engineering colleagues for product teams
Prioritize and distribute quality engineering tasks according to product risks, roadmap goals, and team capacity
Actively contribute to test design, test automation, and exploratory testing
Support analysis of complex defects and validate changes affecting multiple product areas
Support Quality Engineers, developers, and Product Managers across teams in implementing the test strategy and considering quality early in planning and development
Improve test tools and practices, including responsible use of AI-supported testing
Support product releases by communicating test results, remaining risks, and a clear quality recommendation to release coordinators

Experience leading a technical team, including coaching, performance conversations, and individual development
Hands-on experience in software testing, developing test strategies, and test automation, including approaches such as end-to-end, API, integration, or component testing
Experience defining and presenting quality metrics and using them with test results and risk assessments to identify gaps and support decisions
Ability to set priorities, delegate tasks, and collaborate effectively with engineering and product colleagues
Very good written and spoken English; ability to explain technical matters and trade-offs clearly. German is not required
Experience in e-commerce, open-source software, cloud applications, upgrades and migrations, and AI-supported development and test automation is helpful but not mandatory
Shopware prior knowledge is not required
